List of researchers
Forty seven researchers participated in the gathering of materials for the Missions and Competitions. From each researcher there are links to the Missions and Competitions for which he/she was responsible. Some are very well known and their biographies appear in the Diccionario de la Música Española e Hispanoamericana, 10 vols., ed. by Emilio Casares Rodicio (Madrid: SGAE, 1999-2002). However, there are many names of people who are basically unknown, since they were school teachers of small towns who sent melodies and texts collected from their students to present them to the Competitions. We will be grateful for basic biographic information or foto that former students and/or descendants could send us of these less well-known researchers, since we would like to incorporate biographic and bibliographic information concerning all the researchers who participated in the Missions and Concursos. We will also incorporate to this list other researchers not involved in the Missions and Competitions organized by the Spanish Institute of Musicology of the CSIC, but whose work is related to the repertory presented in this database.
